On Jan 22, KRHS Media journalist, Will Rivers, took part in the press coverage of Gov. Jay Nixon visiting Marion Elementary, in the Ritenour School District. Rivers took the opportunity to address questions to Nixon on the concerns of the youth of St. Louis. Rivers also discussed educational programs, like Education Plus's Student Summit on Race, which are making school wide plans for addressing race relations region wide.

Listen to our August 26 interview with Governor Jay Nixon, Missouri's 55th Governor from our KRHS station at Ritenour High School. This interview was recently a finalist in the Intercollegiate Broadcaster System Awards. Today we will cover his visit to Marion Elementary in the Ritenour School District to observe their fifth grade students working with the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program teaching students computer coding and app design.

KRHS journalist, Willie Rivers, interviewed Senior Clifton Kinnie from Luther High School North at the Ferguson Commission Teen Speak Summit on January 10th at the St. Louis Community College at Florissant Community College. Clifton is a student activist who shared his view points as a teen living in the local community of Norther St. Louis Missouri.
